Try out the new Champion Hill game mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard
The PlayStation Alpha will introduce players to a brand new game mode called Champion Hill. It’s a “multi-arena survival tournament where tactics and strategy combine with quick-action, close-quarter gunplay.”
In the upcoming Alpha, players will form a Duo squad (2v2) or a Trio squad (3v3) and they will be pitted against 7 other squads to compete in a round-robin tournament. Each squad will start with a fixed number of lives and respawns. The objective of Champion Hill is to reduce opponent squads’ life count to zero.
Players will have the same loadout at the start of a match. They can take down opponents and collect cash that can be used to upgrade weapons, purchase new equipment, perks, and more during buy rounds. There will also be drops scattered across the map.
According to the blog post, “Champion Hill is made up of four maps combined into the Champion Hill arena.” It features a central Buy Station Area and four Combat arenas- Airstrip, Trainyard, Market, and Courtyard. Eliminated players will be able to spectate the tournament from the Buy Station area spectator platform.
All Alpha participants will receive a Calling Card and an Emblem that’ll be accessible after the game’s official launch as well as in Warzone following the integration of Vanguard.
