CES 2022, the upcoming tech event will close a day early due to increasing Omicron cases, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced. Although the organizers have put safety measures in place, an in-person event is still scheduled to be held from January 5-7, 2022, in Las Vegas.

Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of CTA said “As the world’s most influential technology event, CES is steadfast in its pledge to be the gathering place to showcase products and discuss ideas that will ultimately make our lives better. We are shortening the show to three days and have put in place comprehensive health measures for the safety of all attendees and participants.”
Those who are unable to attend CES 2022 in Las Vegas can register to watch the event live and gain access to over 40 conference sessions, keynotes, select Media Days press conferences, and engage with exhibitors. For in-person attendees, proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID19 and a 24-hour prior negative report is required.
What to expect from CES 2022?
Being one of the biggest tech events, fans can expect exciting announcements from some of the leading tech companies. Intel and AMD are expected to reveal new chips, NVIDIA will unveil its RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU, and companies like Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus are expected to preview new laptops.
