CD Projekt Red delays their Night City Wire event which was scheduled for June 11
In the past two days, some of the most important events related to gaming have been pushed further back. Yesterday, we got news that Sony postponed their PS5 event which was scheduled for 04 June indefinitiely.
Now, under the same circumstances, CD Projekt Red have also pushed back their Night City Wire event, which was set to show viewers snippets of gameplay from their upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077.
Major gaming events postponed
As of now, these were the only two major gaming events for the month. There are a slew of other events lined up as well, but they will take place later in the month, so the companies have not acted upon it yet.
For fans of Cyberpunk 2077, this was simply heartbreaking. People have been waiting for over 7 years for this game only for more information to be delayed.
However, on the brighter side, CD Projekt Red confirmed that they would have the same event on June 25, when hopefully the situation in the US comes to a halt.
Other events might not have to change schedules
The other events in June, such as the ongoing Summer of Gaming and others will still carry on as expected. As of now, there is no information whether they will change dates or not.
At any rate, the protests in the US have put a halt to international events as well. In these trying times, we can look towards one another for support.
