Over the past few years, the rise of mobile gaming has been nothing short of phenomenal. A few games that have helped Mobile Gaming rise to the top are none other than PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile.
The franchises are quite popular on other consoles and platforms as well, but have picked up tremendously fast on the Mobile platform. Incidentally, these mobile games also have a lot of esports potential. In that light, Call of Duty Mobile’s $1 million prize pool tournament is starting from April 30.
What you need to know
The details of this highly competitive tournament were given by Activision yesterday. According to the details, it seems that this is a lengthy esports competition with over $1 million in total prizes- cash and in-game cosmetics included.
On 30th April, the online qualifiers for the competitive tournament will kick off. This in itself will be a rather long process and could last up to 24th of May. Wondering if you can participate too? Well, find out here!
A monumental gaming event
At any rate, we can expect this to be one of the most monumental events in Mobile gaming history. In fact, it could even pave the path for more and more competitions down the line.
At this moment, Call of Duty mobile is one of the most played mobile games on both- Androids and iOS devices. The game’s success was cemented right upon its launch last year, when it clocked in almost 100 million downloads upon release.
