In the upcoming season of Season 8 in Call of Duty Mobile, a remastered version of Crash is to be released. Crash was one of the OG maps that have been available in the game’s servers since its beta release, and was officially released with the launch of the game. As for the other major change being brought into the game, we are looking forward to seeing a change in the way the current rank system works in the game. As has been officially announced, the Ranked MP section is going to get a new rank category named the ‘Grand Master’ added to it.
For the past few seasons, we have seen the developers of the gaming title of Call of Duty Mobile releasing remastered maps of previously released multiplayer maps instead of bringing new maps from other titles in the Call of Duty Universe, as playable content for each season.
Remastered version of Crash Map
Call of Duty Mobile developers confirmed that they shall be bringing a new, remastered version of the Crash map into the game with its Season 8 update. The remastered version was made available on the public test build for Season 8, and we can soon hope to have the map making it’s way over to the actual game as soon as Season 8 releases.
Even though the appeal for completely new and unreleased maps has it’s charm with the players of Call of Duty Mobile, maps which have been marked for getting a face-lift have a special place for the OG players of the game, since it’s relatable and exciting to see the changes that will be made by the developers to a map already well-known to the players.

New category of rank added in Ranked MP system
Since the launch of the game, we have had six major ranks being present in the game, them being –
But if leaks are to be believed, there has been confirmation of a new rank being introduced into the game. Titled the ‘Grand Master‘, this new rank tier shall be making its entry in between the ranks of Master and Legendary. This particular change, if confirmed, shall make the gameplay of the Ranked MP series immensely difficult and competitive, as there needs to be an upgrading of skills among the rank pushers of every season in order to make it to legendary from Season 8 onward.
This change in the rank tiers shall make certain of the fact that only the elite of the elite will now have the ability to reach legendary, since the competition will certainly get more intense and tough than it already has been. As of now, Master rank houses players who have rank points from 4501-6500. And you would make it into Legendary rank, once you crossed the milestone of 6,500 points. But with the introduction of the rank tier of Grand Master, acquiring the coveted rank of Legendary shall require a total of 8,000+ points, since the previous rank of legendary will be renamed to that of ‘Grand Master‘.
