Proceedings in the playoff stage for Blacklist International and other teams
In the quarterfinal stage of the tournament finals, the champions faced RRQ Hoshi, a seasoned team that had finished on the podium in both of the World Championship’s first two seasons. In spite of RRQ’s prowess, the team was no match for Blacklist International and were easily defeated, making way for the champions of the tournament to proceed straight into the semifinals. Next, they easily and convincingly overcame EVOS Singapore in the semifinals.
The finals pitted them against another team from their homeland, ONIC Philippines, who had gone undefeated throughout the knockout stage of the tournament. Fans, on the other hand, saw a re-enactment of the MPL Philippines Season 8 Finals, in which Blacklist handily defeated ONIC.
