Battlegrounds Mobile India is the latest gaming title to be released from Krafton, the South Korean game-developing company, to be part of the tradition that the company follows of rewarding its fanbase and audience with exclusive in-game rewards, for showing love and support to a newly-released game in the market.
Even though it’s been confirmed that this new title is in many ways similar to the now-banned title of PUBG Mobile, and is just a revamped version of it, that didn’t stop the huge fanbase of Indian PUBG players to flock to Battlegrounds Mobile India, since the day of its release in the beta stage. Keeping in mind the popularity the erstwhile game of PUBG Mobile had in India, it didn’t take long for Battlegrounds Mobile India to take the mobile gaming world by storm and set some new records for itself.
Milestones set by Battlegrounds Mobile India
From the initial days of BGMI’s entry in the Indian market, Battlegrounds Mobile India has set bigger & better records for itself as the game’s development progressed with each step from it’s early access open beta release to official release of the game. Starting with the open beta release of the game, it had raked in 5 million downloads in just a few hours’ time, from the release of its open beta access. This first achievement was comparatively easy and an expected one, as the gaming title had registered a sheer 20 million in it’s pre-registration stage.
The next greatest achievement for Battlegrounds Mobile India came barely within a week of its official release. Setting an all-time record for itself, the downloads crossed the whopping 34 million mark. The fact that this is an exceptional achievement acquired by a just released title is proven all the more so by the fact that BGMI went on to take hold of the number one app on the Free Games chart and became the second-highest grossing app within just 24 hours of it’s release on Google Playstore. Pretty exceptional, right?
Rewards
But the tirade of surprises from the Indian community don’t seem to stop, as only yesterday BGMI set for itself another new record when it surpassed the benchmark of 50 million downloads, in less than two months time. This sensational piece of information definitely is meant to take the whole gaming community by storm, both national and worldwide, as achieving such a fantastic record in such a short period of time is by no means an easy feat.
In order to keep the fanbase hooked to the classic battle royale game, Krafton separately created an event titled the 50M Download Event, to celebrate the warm welcome shown by the audience. The event has been divided into three different phases, titled simply ‘Phase 1‘ – ‘Phase 2‘ and ‘Phase 3‘, each representing each stage of download milestone leading upto the 50 million mark. The phase 1 represented 48 million downloads and the phase 2 represented 49 million downloads, while the phase 3 was for the 50 million downloads.

The rewards for each stage of the download milestone include 3x scraps of Supply Coupon Crate, 3x scraps of Classic Coupon Crate and the ultimate reward of a Permanent Galaxy Messenger Set.
