EA’s upcoming shooter Battlefield 2042 is heading into beta for all platforms next week giving players a chance to try the game’s Conquest mode, experience Orbital, and play as any of the game’s 4 Specialists.
The beta will be live from October 6 – October 9. Those who have pre-ordered the game and are EA play members will get early access to the beta from October 6 – October 7, followed by open beta which will be available for everyone from October 8 – October 9.
Note: You don’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription to participate in the open beta, but Xbox users will need an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.

If you pre-order the Gold and Ultimate Editions, you’ll get early access to open beta, Irish- Battle Hardened Legendary Skin, Baku ACB-90 melee takedown knife, “Mr. Chompy” Epic Weapon Charm, and Landfall Player Card Background + Old Guard Tag.
The digital Gold and Ultimate Editions contain early access to the game, Year 1 Pass with 4 New Specialists (1 per Season), 4 Battle Passes (1 per Season), and 3 Epic Skin Bundles (Blistered Earth, Tempest, and Cold Blood), and a Cross-Gen Bundle.
With the Ultimate Edition, you get an extra Midnight Ultimate Bundle (Shadow Stalker Legendary Outfit, Obsidian Legendary Weapon Skin, Onyx Legendary Vehicle Skin), official digital artbook, and exclusive digital soundtrack.
Battlefield 2042 beta content
Players will get the opportunity to try the Conquest mode where up to 128 players (next-gen consoles and PC) will fight for control of several flags present in various sectors of the map. Only one map will be available in the upcoming beta- Orbital.
Players can choose to play as one of four different Specialists, each with a unique specialty and trait.

Battlefield 2042 was supposed to release on October 22, 2021, but was delayed by a month. It is now scheduled to release on November 19, 2021.
