Better Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gameplay experience
The game is not yet available on next-generation consoles and this update is aimed at bringing a better gameplay experience for those who play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on next-generation consoles.
In the announcement post, Ubisoft has noted the download size of Patch 1.6.0 on Xbox One and PS4 versions-
- Xbox One: almost 370 MB.
- PlayStation 4: almost 470 MB.
Though most PS4 and Xbox One games are playable on next-generation consoles through backwards compatibility, there are some which are not and there aren’t PS5 or Xbox Series X/S versions of them either. Moreover, a shortage in supply of next-gen consoles is making it difficult for players to experience several games.
Backwards compatibility allows them to play on old-generation consoles at lower frame rates but developers are releasing updates targeting higher FPS to enhance the gameplay experience.
Jump into The Siege of Paris in Valhalla
Meanwhile, Ubisoft has released the second DLC- The Siege of Paris in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game is available on old-gen as well as next-gen consoles and it runs on 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
