AMD today announced a new graphics card in their RX 6000 series. The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card is built with AMD’s very own RDNA 2 architecture and is set to launch on March 18. It is priced at $479 and is entering the market as a competitor to NVIDIA’s RTX 30-series GPUs under $500.
According to AMD, the RX 6000 series graphic cards are their most powerful graphics cards for PCs. They come with built-in ray-tracing and are capable of delivering top-notch performance across multiple metrics.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT specifications
The RX 6700 XT houses beneath it the NAVI 22 GPU with 40 computing units that make up for a total of 2560 cores. Other graphic cards from the RX 6000 family are equipped with the NAVI 21 GPU. The RX 6700 XT features a base frequency of 2321 MHz and a boost frequency of up to 2581 MHz,12 GB of DDR6 memory, and 96 MB of Infinity Cache.
In terms of performance in max settings at 1440p resolution, AMD’s RX 6700 XT is on par with NVIDIA’s 3070 and 3060 ti graphics cards. The RX 6700 XT showed better performance across multiple RPG and action games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Borderlands 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Dirt 5, and Hitman 3. It was only narrowly beaten by NVIDIA’s cards in Watch Dogs: Legion and Gears 5.
RX 6700 XT price and availability
The RX 6700 XT is priced at $479 and will be available for purchase in retail stores and online stores from March 18, 2021, at 9 AM ET, 7.30 PM IST. In India, the graphics card will be purchasable for Rs. 38,990 + 18% GST which comes out to Rs. 46,008.
