Japanese video game developer Kojima Productions have confirmed that they are working on a new project and are looking to hire some of the best creative minds to get behind it. Kojima Productions currently has one game under their belt which is the singleplayer action-adventure Death Stranding.
Death Stranding was a huge success for Kojima Productions. It was released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive where it reached more than 3 Million users. Later in July 2020, Death stranding was released for PC where it sold over 470,000 copies in the first month on Steam and secured a 9/10 rating.
Is Kojima working on making the scariest game ever?
Kojima Productions was officially founded in 2005 by legendary video game designer Hideo Kojima. They merged with Konami Digital Entertainment and worked on popular titles like Metal Gear, Lunar Knights, and Castlevania. In 2015, Kojima Productions split from Konami to become an independent studio and went on to release their first game in 2019, Death Stranding.
Death Stranding went on to win an Award for Best Direction and Best Music at the Game Awards 2019. It was also nominated for the Game of the Year Award but was beaten by Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
After the release of Death Stranding, Kojima has kept mum about their next move until recently, where they confirmed that a new project was under development and we can't help but speculate what it might be.
After the release of Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima tweeted saying that he would start watching a lot of horror movies so as to awaken his "horror soul" and make the scariest horror game ever.
